Vampires: A&E Biography Special: Joseph Vargo's artwork appears on a televised documentary "The Secret Life of Vampires" premiering on A&E October 28th. The show features Michelle Belanger, who performed vocals on the Winter's Knight album, as well as Don Henrie and several other real-life vampires.

No Rest for The Wicked... While Nox Arcana is wrapping up final mixes on Transylvania, Joseph and William have already begun writing music for their next cd, entitled Carnival of Lost Souls. The music and storyline will transport listeners to a creepy old time carnival that harbors living nightmares and sinister secrets. Music samples from Transylvania coming soon.
Winter's Knight cds have arrived... Michelle Belanger, Jeff Endemann of the bands Seven and Hollow, and gothic poet and singer Eric Gustafson.

Nox Arcana goes to TRANSYLVANIA. Joseph and William are already back in the studio working on a new musical nightmare entitled Transylvania. The cd will be powerful, eerie and darkly romantic—a musical venture into the land of vampires, werewolves, witches and ghosts—utilizing many story elements from Bram Stoker's Dracula. The guys are already done with several preliminary mixes, and Transylvania is on schedule for an October release.

Music samples for Winter's Knight have been posted, marking Nox Arcana's third project in as many years. Joseph and William are in the final stages of mixing the cd, which is scheduled for release this summer. Winter's Knight is a ghostly symphony for the winter holiday season and contains over 60 minutes of haunting original songs and gothic renditions of traditional holiday carols.

Nox Arcana announces their upcoming release Winter's Knight, "a ghostly symphony for the winter holiday season that will contain haunting original songs and gothic renditions of traditional holiday carols." In addition to Vargo's ghostly chants and narrations, guest vocalists will be featured on some of the tracks.

Nox Arcana has finished production on Necronomicon , a dark symphony based on H.P. Lovecraft's legendary book of shadows. This epic concept album contains 21 tracks of dark orchestrations. Joseph Vargo reveals, "The theme basically centers around the Great Old Ones, the forgotten race of beings that inhabited the Earth long before mankind existed. They were ancient sorcerers who were imprisoned deep within the Earth and banished to distant dimensions by the Elder Gods. The Necronomicon holds the key to releasing them and summoning them back to our world." Meanwhile... Joseph and William are already hard at work on their 3rd cd, entitled Winter's Knight, a ghostly symphony for the Holiday Season. Joseph Vargo describes the new cd as "a mixture of haunting original songs and gothic renditions of traditional holiday carols." Winter's Knight will also feature guest musicians and vocalists on some of the tracks.

Darklore Manor is available nationwide at Hot Topic stores. Nox Arcana is currently in the studio working on Necronomicon, a dark symphony based on H.P. Lovecraft's legendary book of shadows. The album will be a musical opus with gothic choirs chanting the forbidden rituals contained within the pages of this ancient tome.
Joseph Vargo will be releasing an art book that will feature over 100 of his gothic fantasy paintings and illustrations, reproduced in full-color. The book will also contain detailed text concerning each work from gothic writer Joseph Iorillo, as well as commentary from the artist. The book, Born of the Night: The Gothic Fantasy Art of Joseph Vargo, will be published by Monolith Graphics.

Interview in Dark Realms #1 with Joseph Vargo's previous band, Midnight Syndicate: Born of the Night and Realm of Shadows have netted impressive sales and met with critical acclaim, but alas, all good things must come to an end, as Vargo reveals, "We won't be working together on future projects." Douglas and Goszka will continue as Midnight Syndicate; while Vargo promises his new project won't disappoint fans... "The music is classic dark orchestration, but will incorporate more vocals and take the concept to another level."
